tn_b5medialogo.pngWe live in interesting times when the acquisition of a few blogs can make headlines.  b5Media announced today that they are buying the Level9 Group of blogs, which operates a network of eight blogs, including the popular Starked group and include Dejuiced and Sirened, neither of which I have actually even heard of.  My guess is that the Level9 guys are in high demand and simply were boughtout to bring their talene over to b5Media.

b5Media is on its way to becoming one of the larger blog networks, currenty they run 230 blogs and attract nearly 3 million unique visitors per month.

Level9 has weathered many challenges since launch, and has emerged with a strong team of passionate writers, valuable properties and a number of strong brands,” said Jeremy Wright, b5media’s CEO.

Roy Tahsin, Level9’s founder and publisher, said the deal brings together two fast-growing and exciting networks.

“It shows the blogosphere is still alive and well,” he said. “b5 is the perfect new home for Level 9 Media as it’s made up of a great management team and great writers all striving to bring the best content to the Web.”

Good luck to the new partners, it looks like it was a smart acquisition by b5Media.
