Protect your brand: Check your UserName at 68 web 2.0 sites

Mon, Oct 27, 2008

It’s pretty darned important to take your name, company name, and brand names at popular web 20 sites.  Why?  Well, its simple, if you don’t someone else will and even worse, they will control the message and branding that the page has, and it won’t always be positive.

Take a few minutes to check out a new service called UserNameCheck.com
This service does take a while to ping all 68 websites, but it will give you some great info on which sites you need to sign up for.

The counter at the bottom of the page says usernames have been checked 138,818, was one off them yours

Heh, looks like the website is a black page, currently. Wonder if their server got overloaded and they wanted a breather. :)
